Happy Holidays, and we hope you're ready for a heaping helping of nostalgia. Gavin and Megan celebrate our "pod-i-versary" this week, and also close out Season 1 of the show by tackling the highlights of the year. Things like chocolate (of course), the United Nations (one of our favorites), and even Frankenstein all get celebrated this week, as we get ready to go on hiatus until the beginning of 2018. Make sure to like us on facebook so you can keep up to date with us and know when we are coming back. Happy holidays!

Gavin and Megan are back this week to celebrate even more holidays! In the penultimate episode of Season 1, Gavin cranks up the awkward scale by talking about things like mammograms and menopause, Mothers-in-Law and bosses, but it's all worth it for the nachos! In fact, this week we learn the secret history of how Megan's dad invented nachos! Make sure to celebrate with us before Every Day's A Holiday goes on holiday in a few weeks. Plus, NACHOS! What more do you need to know?

Time to face some fears on this weeks episode of Every Day's a Holiday! Gavin and Megan are taking on Friday the 13th, National Chocolate Covered Insect Day, and National Savings Day(Ok, this one is only scary for shopaholics like Megan) all in one episode. Not all the holidays are full of fear this week, though! So don't be scared to come and celebrate on this week's episode of Every Day's a Holiday!

Happy Holidays! This week, Gavin and Megan are diving into the month of October and celebrating things like Pizza Month, Cookie Month, and Popcorn Popping Month. We're also analyzing different holidays for this week like Family TV Show Day, Frugal Fun Day, and World Teacher's Day. But there's plenty of insanity this week, as well. Not only are we celebrating the crazy tea-drinking hat-maker from Alice in Wonderland, but we're also tooting our metaphorical flutes and appreciating our pastors. It's a mixed bag that only our Guardian Angel could have cooked up for us. So what are you waiting for? Stop reading the description and listen to the episode already!

This episode is fun for the whole family! Gavin and Megan are wrapping up September with National Better Breakfast Day, See You at the Pole, and a whole lotta Lumberjack holidays! They'll even start celebrating October with International Music Day to kick off a new month. There's no stupid questions during this episode so come and celebrate with us at Every Day's a Holiday!

Yar! This week, Megan and Gavin celebrate one of the scurviest holidays ever conceived on the high seas- Talk Like A Pirate Day! In addition to "Arggh"s and "Matey"s, you'll be hearing us speak some gibberish in this episode (or at least trying to... pronunciation can be tricky!) But language is not the only thing we'll be celebrating this week; we also discus cheeseburgers, gratitude, daughters, and more chocolate. So don your hat, strap on your peg leg and give some crackers to your parrot, and then come celebrate with us, matey!

September 11, 2017 09:19 AM PDT

Gavin and Megan are looking back at some historic holidays and events on this weeks episode! They'll be celebrating National Police Woman Day, Constitution Day, and a handful of other holidays during this weeks episode, A Holiday to Remember.

September 04, 2017 08:44 PM PDT

Gavin and Megan are sitting back and not laboring this week to celebrate Labor Day and several other important holidays. So join us as we learn the history of Labor Day and why you shouldn't labor too hard on that day. We are also celebrating cheese pizza, extra dessert, reading books, teddy bears, grandparents, and Lily Day! So grab your favorite paperback and let's get to work not working on this week's episode!

August 29, 2017 08:06 AM PDT

Gavin and Megan are spinning some tall tales in this weeks episode of Every Day's a Holiday! They'll also be celebrating World Beard Day, Welsh Rarebit(what in the world is that? Rabbit??), and Frankenstein Day. So join us this week as we wrap up August and kick off September on Every Day's a Holiday!

August 20, 2017 01:01 PM PDT

Happy holidays! Gavin and Megan are back at it, bringing you all the holidays you can stomach for the week of August 21st through the 27th! We are celebrating Senior Citizens Day, National Eat A Peach Day and Be An Angel Day, and Forgive Your Foes Friday. So come along with us and learn how to celebrate the elderly, dogs, and more! And make sure to come back next week for more holidays with Every Day's A Holiday!

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
